do about climate change?

This September, world leaders are meeting at the UN Summit of the Future to discuss how to create a fairer future for people and the planet.

 

This includes creating ways to involve young people in big decisions about climate change, world peace, and our shared future. 🌍

 

Reasons to be Hopeful and Teach the Future are helping  children's brilliant ideas be showcased in New York during the week of the Summit.

Reasons to be Hopeful have teamed up with the School of International Futures & Futures Friends, who are hosting the Building Hopeful Futures Festival on September 19th, New York, during the UN Summit of the Future.

 

At the festival, we’ll showcase an exhibition full of the ideas children like you submit. This is your chance to have your voice heard by powerful decision-makers in New York.

 

This is also a moment for you and other young people around the world to come together and show that building a hopeful future includes everyone’s voice.

On September 22nd-23rd 2024, world leaders are coming together at the UN Summit of the Future to discuss how to create a fairer future for both people and the planet.

 

This is an exciting moment, with world leaders recognising the need to work together to create ways to include young people and future generations in making decisions about important things like climate change, world peace and keeping the world and future safe - so it’s only fair that young voices like yours are part of it. 🌍

Reasons to be Hopeful is dedicated to helping children learn about the inspiring projects and people working to repair the planet. By highlighting these climate stories, we’re empowering young minds with the knowledge of what’s possible now and in the future.

What is the ‘Building Hopeful Futures Festival’? 

On September 19, 2024, in New York City, SOIF are hosting the Building Hopeful Futures Festival. 

 

This event is celebrating the hard work of people from all over the world who are working together to solve today’s big problems.

 

These people include experts who think about the future, those who care about the well-being of both young and old, and those working on making the world more sustainable.

 

By showcasing their work and through creating an exhibition showcasing the brilliant ideas submitted by children, we give important decision-makers in New York a chance to see why and how young people and future generations can be included in shaping the future.
